The house

A small inn with three rooms and an on-site kitchen.

Built in 1897 and welcoming guests since 1981, Hollis House keeps country hospitality simple: deep beds, hot showers, honest food, local drinks, and hosts who know every turn in the hills.

With only three rooms, the house stays peaceful even when every key is taken. Book the extra night. The hills reward unhurried days.

Dining

Breakfast included. Dinner at 7:30.

Breakfast is a ritual here: soaked oats, bakery bread, eggs from the Hendricks farm. Dinner is a short menu from the valley and the walled garden, served at proper tables with the fire lit when the season asks for it.

What guests mention most often.

Selected notes from the fictional guest book. Demonstration content, shown here as editorial proof rather than an integration.

We came for two nights and stayed for four. The Four-Poster, the fire, the ridge walk before breakfast.

Booked the long table for my father's seventieth. He has not stopped talking about it since.
